What a wonderfull time

it's amazing

When I went to school, digitalization was on everyone's lips. Transistor radios. Calculators. Casio watches. The C-64.

When I was about to complete my computer science pre-diploma, the WWW was invented. I had fallen in love with computers a few years earlier because they could control MIDI synthesizers and effects devices, and because computers made it possible to connect with the world via acoustic couplers and modems.

Now - 30 years later - we stand at the beginning of an era that could change the world more profoundly than anything I've been privileged to experience in technological innovation before.

I'm now studying Computer Engineering to better understand what drives the digital world at its core.

After graduating from high school , I studied political science for a few semesters. My interest in what drives societies at their core remains strong. At the moment, it seems to me that Western societies haven't yet realized what's coming their way. The Industrial Revolution is probably too far in the past.

I'm curious and excited. I'm looking forward to what's coming. It will be unprecedented.

Frontend: 250 Applications, 500.000 lines of JavaScript, 2 to 4 developers.

2020 to 2023: Maintenance of the framework and the frontend as Senior Lead Developer

2018/2019: Senior Lead Architect and Senior Lead Developer of the XUL to HTML migration.

Script-driven conversion of XUL files to HTML.
Script-driven generation of CommonJs modules from the existing vanilla JavaScript objects.
Adaptation of the custom vanilla JavaScript framework
Re-Implementation of the native XUL widgets in vanilla JavaScript
Team: 4 developers including me.

2017: Built a PoC to show the migration of the frontend from XUL to HTML using electron.
